The Role:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Accountant with a focus on accounting and financial reporting. This role involves performing day to day activities in relation to Purchase to Pay and Receivable to Collection processes. The ideal candidate should have experience in accounting and bookkeeping, should be well versed in Microsoft applications, and should have good oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily tasks in MYOB Advanced for AU company (such as, but not limited to, check and approve Bills/invoices and expense claims, Raise Purchase requests (PRs), Purchase Orders (Pos) and Bills/invoices, Record Bank & Credit Card transactions)
  • Ensure that the assigned company's record is complete, accurate and all transactions are recorded timely on a daily basis.
  • Perform month end closing tasks such as recording of accruals and provisions, reconciliation of bank statements, review of assigned accounts
  • Reconcile GL accounts such as Employee Benefits Payable, Superannuation payable and other salary related accounts
  • Perform Accounts Receivable aging report weekly, including following up customers for overdue accounts
  • Assist in preparation of audit schedules, supports and reconciliations
  • Prepare ad hoc reports as requested by stakeholders
  • Perform all other tasks as assigned by the Finance Outcome Owner or Head of Finance, as requested

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • At least 1 year experience in Accounting and/or Auditing
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Highly motivated and proactive, with ability to adapt to shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Great attention to detail
  • Problem-solving ability
